Yes according to the combinations of hands possible we are only behind a few but the action is telling us we are behind. I just don't see too many stacking off with 9x here.
What are we doing in this spot when we are 100bbs+ ?
Poker is a game of incomplete information, so it helps to have solid facts in order to make a decision. Combination analysis is one of the few facts or truths you can always rely on. Just because somebody takes a line that says otherwise you can never say with 100% certainty what they have based on their line due to human tendencies and obviously bluffing. However we can say with great certainty what hands villian can have combinatorically. Thats why i try to always use that to my advantage
There are many factors that will sway my decision making process:
Combinations
Stack sizes
Line
Image
Etc
In this spot with us being so short, and facing such a narrow value range (combinatorically) im very happy shoveling it in.
If we were 100bb+ deeper then im just going to call and re-evaluate. But im never just straight up folding in this spot unless it were to go bet raise reraise or something crazy like that. Luckily if we have a good preflop game then we shouldnt face these spots very often
