Stacks 1200

H btn straddle
V got ai on turn with fd a couple of orbits before, seems somewhat laggy pre and post flop

H j4 os on btn (btn straddle is on)

V in mp

3 ways to flop

Flop 30 1046hh
X,x h bets 30, call, call

Turn 120 j
X,x, h bets 80, v raises to 250, fold, h calls

River 620 4c puts back door flush on board
V bets 450, hero?

I should probably never be betting flop but was confident it would have missed both v's range and I wanted to charge for draws.

Should I be raising river for value or flatting?

I'm a nit but I'd likely fold turn...once I see river I just call. Expect to see 66 alot, sometimes 10s

If we'd fold turn then we must fold river, though I agree on folding.

Unless this guy is just tilting his stack away, TPWK seems like a marginal hand to consider continuing OTT. Would really need more info on V, but the reason most people play LAG is to get paid on good hands by pumping the pot same as when they bluff.

As for betting the flop, I'd say this is the worst time to try to do it. Post said it was to charge draws, but that applies when we think our J high is good which it won't be enough times. If we have a LAG V, we expose ourselves to c/r too often, not to mention the float which builds the pot unnecessarily large. Even against LAG players, I usually treat TPWeakestK as a lowball hand where I try to get to a cheap showdown.

You misread the board. Flop was T46. Hero flopped bottom pair, turned 2 pairs and rivered a boat.

I'm an idiot. Not sure why I thought we had J2.

Anyways...

Flop's whatever. I think a check would be ok, though if I lead, I think I'd aim for </= $20.

Turn's fine & would lean towards jamming river for essentially a min-raise. We have the near nuts. Not sure if V was open limping, in which case we might assume a LAG to raise 66 pf, though TT raises basically 100%. At worst, we're beat by 3 combos of 66, but figure we might get a call from J6, 46, maybe JT that got passive OTF for whatever reason...those runner-runner flushes, maybe some weird like 4x that tried to bluff turn...
