Hero plays somewhere between TAG and LAG and is a winning reg.
Villain has a lot of respect for my game, and is not looking to get involved in pots versus me.
He is fairly passive both preflop and postflop.
Lower than average bluffing frequencies overall.

Earlier he cbet AJ 3way on KT2r
Next to act folded and I called with T9.
Turn was an ace and we both checked.
River was a 6 and he checked it back again!!
So to put it mildly, he isn't valuebetting thinly.

4 limps and hero has AdQh in the SB
I raise to $30 and villain calls in the BB.
One limper calls as well.
Limper has $150 remaining while me and villain has $720 each.

I haven't played enough with villain to know what his value-3betting range is in this spot, and if he would flat $30 with speculative hands here or not.
Anyway if 8x is in his range, then there is also a lot of extra missed flush draws.

$105 Ac8c8h

I check and villain bets $50.
Limper folds and I call.

$205 9d
I check and call $100.

$405 6d
I check and villain bets $200.
Hero goes into the tank...

I would have taken the lead with the ace. $75 on flop and check turn. See what he does on river. If he checks back turn, call river.

As you describe villain, river looks like a fold. But as with the hand I posted, this seems more live read dependent than anything. Bet on the river looks like he is taking you for a walk to v-town.

I would have led this flop as well 3-way.
