Private game NYC
H ($700) tight image. Been quite card dead so probably even seen as a nit (esp by these two villains). Made a successful hero call vs V1 earlier in session.

V1 ($300) super aggro maniac. Been attacking weakness w $2-300 bets all night, including preflop. Lost lost of his chips to v2 few hands ago.
V2 ($2100) strong player seating directly on maniac’s left. Big cojones.
They have been going at each other all night with v2 getting the best of it.

Hand exple: $20 raise EP, two callers. V1 raises to $200, v2 calls. All folded. J high flop, all the money goes in for $2400 pot. V1 has J6. V2 scoops with AJ.

No offense, but you need to re-format your posts. Tapatalk is not working well for you.

Vs. these guys, I'd go bigger pre because you know they are going to come along, and V1 might just ship it.

That flop kind of sucks vs. two players, but I'm never folding (unless its monotone and I don't have the A -- can't see suits, which might be the problem with formatting -- just use s,c,d,h). Vs. guys like these, you just have to go for it sometimes.

From the NYC games I've played in, this is always a call

No offense taken at all. How should I format differently?

I think you are trying to put the suits in as symbols. Maybe try just using the letter to represent the suit, as you did in your reply, which worked fine.

I'm definitely calling here.

Got it. Thank you for that and your perspective.

And I also def agree I should have gone much bigger pre. Feel $100 might even work.

More pre as has been mentioned. You don’t want two callers, especially these guys.

I’m folding here in peace. H is uncapped, nit image and leading and they still blast off. Two Villains, two ranges, they have all the TT and JTs here. Even though we don’t block the nfd, someone likely has a hand here that’s ahead of us. We have 110 invested, the going rate just for a decent steak now downtown. No point going broke the full dinner for two with wine.

Snap call. Make it more pre.

Theres 30 different draws these guys could have. If one of em has JT you still got a redraw to a better 2 pair.

I'm really surprised everyone is so eager to call here.

V1 would be a snap call, but V2 is a competent player who just all his chips in against your uncapped range. We have plenty of JJ/TT/JT here ourselves that we can happily get our money in with, so I just let this one go. Even if we're ahead we're probably dodging a lot of outs.

Thankfully we get to see the hand after, so if V2 ended up having a worse hand definitely note that down.

That’s what I thought. I was really happy to have v1 jam. And very unhappy from v2 jamming on top.

V1 can have anything. Probably most likely a J or T. But facing two ranges gave me a lot of pause here.

Will wait a little longer to share results.

V1 has a huge influence on V2's range here. It's not really like he's 3-betting flop. Ranges are just always wider with a maniac messing with the game dynamic. I'm not exactly fist-pumping, but not really considering folding.

against a tilting maniac with ~50BB here I'm just raising pf to half his stack and seeing if he wants to play for it.

I think 70 is not enough on a wet flop like this, so I would check or bet 100. If I bet 100 and the same action unfolds, I might be more inclined to fold than I am now.

I'm still not eager to get it in, though, so I might still fold here... but I probably call.

The more I have been thinking about it, the more I am aligned with this.

From V2 perspective, I am just c-betting and v1 can have literally anything that remotely connected to the flop. So v2 will try to isolate with TP and MP probably.

OTT results:
I folded.
V1 had J8 for TP and V2 had a T.... and the turn came: T...

So a bad fold long term for me. But a very lucky fold in this case...

V2 slamming in with 2nd pair hardly screams "strong player"
