This is my first time posting on the forums. I've been playing live cash games for about a year. The hand: Hero(580ish behind) is in sb with A A. Four limpers in the pot, I open to $25 and it folds to Villian(1600ish behind) in the CO who 3 bets to 140, btn folds, i think for about 20 sec. then make it 300 to go....he thinks for a while, then calls. Flop comes T65 rainbow, I shove about 280 more, he snap calls ...turn is a 7,river 3.. Villain shows 89 ....should I have shoved pre? ..Well he ends up stacking me...any advice is wanted. Thanks

You played the hand just fine and got your money in as good as you possibly can in poker. I mean, the guy called 300 preflop with 9-8 off, its like he tries to give you his money. That he hits his gutshot its just bad luck and variance. Feel good about your play!

i would open SB more to about 30-35 with 4 limpers

i dont mind flatting the 3bet to keep our range wide but 4bet is OK too. your 4bet sizing is OK... his 3bet is pretty damn big though.

280 behind on flop so you have to ship flop

considering he called a 4bet pre with 89o i dont even know if hes folding to a 4bet shove in this spot honestly lol. but you shouldnt think too results-oriented.

normally 4betting here puts your hand face up as AA/KK/AK but hes super deep so its ok imo. and given ur remaining stack size i might just 4bet bigger to induce a 5bet shove from him.

if you had 4bet shoved in general situations like this, not many hands call you so it could be better to flat 3bet and look to shove flop or 4bet bigger and induce a 5bet shove

And I think my table image was more on the LAG side this night...so that may be the reason for his big 3 bet....idk. And I was definitely trying to define my hand with th 4bet.....i would have been ok with a fold at that point.....

If i sit with 580 in front of me, and i get a guy to call off (lol) 300 preflop with ****ing 9-8 when i 4 bet with AA, i would just be licking my lips. What an amazing game i would say to myself
