The key is to have a plan before you 3bet. As mentioned above, if you don't wanna 3bet/call then don't 3bet. But against crazy opponents 3betting here is a must which will result in you calling off in good shape against a wide range.

Snap call. You have the odds to call if he's shoving QQ+/AK. I wouldn't be surprised if this guy thinks you're bluff squeezing and shoved with some AQ-/JJ

It isn't always bad, but against this player (or an actual good player with 100 bb stacks) it is.
