Villain is very loose, seems slightly passive. Have not seen any flop leads from him yet

CO opens to $10 pre, btn calls, sb calls, I call in the bb with 88

I considered threebetting here, but everyone in the hand is pretty sticky so even if I got to $70 I expect 2-3 callers, and I'm not looking to play a pot that size with 88 multiway

Flop: 567 ($40)
SB (villain) leads out $30, I raise to $85, others fold, SB calls

We block the nuts, I don't expect to get threebet on this flop by anything less than a set, and even a set I expect to flat a decent amount just given how scared people get on threeline flops. Could be leading A7/78/79 which we can get value from, ditto for flush draws.

Turn: 3 ($210)
Villain checks, I check

45/46 are both possibilities, more importantly if we bet again I think his continuing range starts getting weighted towards hands that beat us. Getting check/raised would really suck with how much equity we have

River: K ($210)
villain checks, I check
same reasons as above

I'd prefer to bet turn and x back river instead, just think we need to be charging heart draws/overs, pair+gutter hands instead of waiting otr to bink

Also if you do get x/r here ott it is never a bluff on a 4 liner so you can fold pretty comfortably

Bet $25 on the river unless the dude has shown a propensity to ck/rs in the past. It's like free money against just about all 1 pair hands.

I’d just flat the flop with two players behind in a min-raised pot.

As played, agree with turn check, but thin valuing river for say $40-45. Ofc, fold to a X/R.

Good flop raise

Like the way you played it

Villain is never folding two pair here if he has it since this is lol low stakes live. You set yourself a good price if you were beat and theres a small chance you're ahead.

Villains in my experience are rarely ever leading flush draws or straight draws here multiway unless it's exactly like 810 of hearts. This is almost always two pair or a set, possibly low end of the straight.

I think it's played fine. I highly doubt he's calling with worse on turn or river, and I don't think you are going to get him to fold better w/o risking a lot of $$$.

At first sight I thought, how can you raise this flop, but I like your reasoning and I like the way you played it, especially the turn check. I have to say I do like iraisetoomuch's suggestion to bet tiny otr, which is also something I probably wouldn't have thought of myself.

i like this vs a passive villain who will absolutely never raise you with a bluff but why only $25? I think we get called by the same hands we are ahead for more than 1/8th pot no?

reason for 1/8th pot bet is to make sure another more aggro player sees it and will incorrectly make the adjustment to attack those bet sizes with ch/raises or raises IP in the future

reasons against it: i dont think we have to advertise the above in order to create those opportunities and can easily get crying calls for something like 75-85$ here + achieve similar to above

jsut some thoughts
