1st off i dont play cash much and hardly ever live.. i only play donkaments have played a fair amount of live tournaments though so dont have any live tells afaik
onto the hand

i was utg had ~1200 infront and bb had 1k (maybe a bit less)

me and him are the only two decent players every1 else is either stuck or a nit we had been talking a lot.. drinking etc and had been pretty much trying to stay out of each others ways

i open 8Tdd UTG to 17 (not looking for comments on how bad/-ev this is etc)
everyone folds to BB who says 'lets gamble kid' (which was ironic koz he was 22 and im 19 so not much of a age difference but woteva)

flop 3c6d7c he checks and i checked
he is good enough to know that i cbet like 90% of the time and my opening range doesnt connect often enough with the flop and plus i had draws
and if i didnt hit on the turn i was ready to give up if he fired

turn 9h he checks i make it 28 he quickly raises to 56
i have the nutz here i honestly put him on a set here he had done this before against some ****** min c/r the flop with a set so pretty much min c/r were always for value (with wat he thought was the best hand at that time) which might indicate he is bad but other than this his play was pretty solid imo
i thought about raising here but the best way to get max value from him would be to call and raise his river koz i was 100% he was gonna lead river if i just flatted

river Ac he tanks announces allin and im like wtf

i dont really know wat to do.. if we were 100bigs eff i would snap this like theres no tomoro but stack sizes changes things a bit yes?? but then again im pretty much a noob at cash unlimited holdthems and how important are timing tells and speaking tells in live pokers anyone have any links books etc?

Fold. U may very well be good here but you only have 73 into this hand and you need to call off 900+ to find out.

You mean you've never seen someone c/min to get a free card?

3! the turn, if he has a set there's still a good chance he pays off.

As played, fold.

cant believe how u guys are saying fold honestly u think hes doing that with two clubs really
just bcoz he overbets doesnt mean he has it maybe he has been watching too many tom dwan videos

i ended up tanking for like 2 hrs and called he showed triple AAA but in retrospect i guess it would have been good to 3bet turn but i just thought if i 3bet turn to ~220 and he calls that leaves him ~750 eff stacks otr and i couldnt profitably get it all in the middle if he checked river pot size wouldve been ~500 he might get scared if i pushed
but if i called turn and he bet river and i raised allin he might think im putting a move on him and probably make a call on that basis

but 3betting turn seems best

The check/minraise on the turn is a very weird line for a flush draw. Also, your line isn't consistent with a flush draw either - in your spot people will usually bet the flop and take a free card on the turn if they miss. You hardly ever see people check the flop then decide to bet the turn. If he's a thinking player and knows you pretty much never have a flush here he can make a big bluff, reasoning that you'll never call of your stack without a flush. Having said all that, I'm a wuss so I probably fold here anyway, but if you don't mind some variance I wouldn't call you crazy for making the hero call here.

when someone says 'lets gamble kid' or 'i havent looked at my hand' does that mean they are strong
and good links where i can brush up on live talking tells etc?

I'd def 3bet turn. Since he's not bluffing turn based on your read you need to build the pot now. Your hand also looks liks FOS if you 3bet here. I'd call river because people do ******ed things and he doesn't expect us to ever have a flush or set here

I know everyone else has said it, but 3bet turn is a must, esp w/ stack sizes

As for the rvr villain is only doing this w/ 99/AA or flush. Lots more combos of flush than 99/AA. T/f I fold the rvr.
