Saturday night game, table is a mixture of tags, fish and passive players, perhaps bit more towards the typical passive live game. 1 total whale on the table.

H image in this table is tight and value-heavy since H has only played couple of hands, one of which H stacked with AA and the other one mentioned below.

The particular V is tight but not that aggressive, more towards the nitty side. First time H has played against him. H was able to run down a ballsy bluff below against him earlier, hence V has the nitty image in Hs view:
Hand: Ato
position: BB
stack: 400
blinds: 2.5/2.5

Pre: nit opens to 10 from mp. 3 callers after him. h makes it 62.5 from bb Nit calls. Others fold.
Flop 478r: h checks. Nit makes it to 62.5. h check-raises to 145. Nit tanks and folds and swears h must have had big pair.

But the above is just to set the stage. OTTH

hand: 8d8h
position: BB
stack: 640 (maybe 400-500 effective)
blinds: 2.5/2.5

Pre: two limps ep. Mp opens to 12.5. get 3 total callers including h
Flop (55) 8cjs6c: checked through. going for the check-raise here obviously.
Turn (55) 5c: h bets 27.5. mp calls. two folds
River (110) qh: h bets 55. V raises to 155. Can we find a call here ever against the v described above?

Bet the flop.

As misplayed, I'm not folding here getting 3.2 to 1. Too many 2 pairs in his hand or a 'I'm going to steal one back'.

There's certain nits that I've played against where this is an instafold. But your description hasn't convinced me that villain is one of my nits so I'm calling.

H has strong tag image and has only showed one hand to v which is aa. H perceives v as thinking nit, e.g. capable of level 2 thinking. Pre h squeezes and tries to take the pot home. h bets larger than usual to represent aa-jj. Otf the only way h can take the pot home is to make it show that he really has it, thus the check-raise bluff. E.g. our action tells a compelling story throughout the hand and as a thinking player the nit lays down probably tt/99/aq/aj. Now I don't do this kind of stuff often but that's why it works often when I do it.
