Just sat down. Second hand.

UTG (MAWG- covers w/ $1000)- opens to $15. Seems a little small but this is my first time playing at this casino and this is my second hand.

Folds to me ($495) in SB w/ 7h7d. I call.
BB is MAWG w/ $650. He calls.

Flop $45

Hero checks. BB checks. UTG checks???

If this was heads up, I'm probably going for a check raise. 3 ways or more, I'm leaning more towards a lead. Heads up, I don't think it would be as disastrous (still disastrous though), if it checked through, then if it did when this is multiway. What are your thoughts?

just lead $40, SPR of 10, we'd rather not have a street check through if we want to get all in on good runouts

there are a ton of club and broadway draws out there that we don't really want to give free cards too - plus we can potentially get raised by worse (if UTG has AKo, say)

Hit the nail on the head here. Multi-way it's best to lead here as we need to charge the many draws on this board and losing a street of value is disastrous if checked through.

Besides sets, what else should we be leading with when we call pre in the blinds? Let's just use this board as an example.

AA/KK we should be 3 betting pre. JJ/77 we are leading. KJ we should be leading.
If we didn't 3b QQ, we aren't leading this flop, unless it's a bluff. We are check calling.
If we didn't 3b AK/KQ are we leading? What about KT/JT/QT are we leading for value, as a semi-bluff or are we just check calling.

I know it depends on the villain but I'm trying to create a sound leading range on this textured board.

So many draws will passively check back this flop and that is why we should be leading here.
I would debate between betting $40 and picking up a random pile of chips and dropping them haphazadrly into the pot and see what people do.
Normally betting $40.
