I am pretty sure he checks back QJ. I can't really call with anything worse after betting flop and turn and I don't think he thinks I'm going to hero call.
That's interesting. If he checks back weak made hands then I can x river knowing if he bets it's mostly the air portion (flush draws mainly) of his range and I can bluff catch. So x/c may be a much better choice than I imagined.
Is this what you were getting at with this question?
@PokerNoob
You may be right (probably right) villain assumes I don't bet 300 into 400 with a boat OTT or wouldn't bet AQ+ for value OTR but I actually would do both on this runout. If I have a boat I want to get stacks in. On some rivers I would x or bet less with AQ but not a blank particularly when my read of villain is he is capped at a worse Q.
As for 7x I do ISO A7s 87s 76s. I think I do bet given my read V1 and V2 seem uninterested. With A7hh for instance I have enough of an equity advantage vs button to want to build the pot in case I win and protect against the many many hands with decent chance of drawing out if it gets x around. This is situational I agree normally I x middle pair. And BTN can't know the reads I'm making so sure he may reasonably assume I never have 7x here.
So I think the crux of the matter is I see myself as value heavy and therefore having lots of FE while villain may have a very different picture and sees me as too polarized to have many value shoves.
Thanks for the responses everyone and sorry if I come across as pissy that's really not my intent.
