$2/$4 9 handed.

I open $16 UTG ($800) 4 call , villain button $65 ($650), I. 4bet $170, he flats.

245r. ($410). Vil has $480 left.

Villain is 40s rec player likes to mix up with regs. Plays a fishy lag style. Have not seen any 3/4b pots with him but think he is capable of making plays and also fishy enough to be calling wide, possibly even set mining pps.

I feel like on this flop a shove will look like AK and he will snap any pp so I'm only folding worse hands/bet for value/protection.
I have been playing tag and fairly aggressive pf with 3betting prior to hand.

would he 3b AK, AQ, AJs kind of hands? how fishy is he? does he know what he's representing by 3b an UTG open?

if he's got Ace face cards in his range I think we have to bet 200 here and gii on any turn. he can call with worse (most other Aces) and your line looks super strong.

SPR of 1, two overcards, gutter, fishy villain

10 outs twice, have to shove, still have ~40% against QQ- and he might fold AK. I would have sized preflop a little bigger at $190-200 so that you have closer to just a PSB left on the flop plus a little more FE against JJ/QQ pre.

You have odds to just get it in. Do some math on it if you don't believe it. Bigger issue is that you had no idea what to do in flop once he flatted 4 bet. Think about what you're doing before you do it.

Responses: can't do anything other than shove. No raise size other than that is acceptable.

I would bet $330 / call. You stated yourself a shove looks like AK and it surely does. We are committing anyhow, however make the bet "appear" to possibly be looking for a call, rather than bluffy. Even if that folds out TT JJ a tiny % of time, thats huge.

Thoughts on crai? I will check this flop back with AA some of the time so my line looks strong.

Or bet 1/3 (and call ai) then ship any turn

Don't like either of these lines, we don't want villain to put more money in and commit.

I like ANL's line. $300ish and call, looks less bluffy. Not folding here.
