I do have a bit of history with the villain. A few hands ago, this happened: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/17...rd-kk-1642715/ In that hand, I re-raise shoved on the flop, and he called. The board bricked out and he mucked. So I don't know what he had, but AQ or Qx is likely.

So I think a call is fine on the flop. In that case, pot will be $86. Stacks for hero and villain are ~$300. But what should my line be from here? If another heart hits? If I make a straight? If overcards fall? C/Cing down with top pair, mid kicker seems like a weak line. When should I consider donking into villain? When should I consider C/Ring?

Preflop call is thin. One of the problems with playing JT OOP is you get into a lot of situations like this when you do hit. You have a moderately good hand, lots of options but which one is best is unclear. The answer to almost all of your questions is "it depends" because how villain plays changes it so much. I would fold this preflop until I had a read on the original raiser and some idea how BTN was playing.

On the flop you can play it check/call or bet, possibly even check/raise but without the heart draw that is as much bluff as semi-bluff.

If you go for check/call bet anything that improves your hand on the turn. Bluff some hearts but not always. If an A/K hits check and see what villain does but you can still draw sometimes.

like others said, fold pf unless pfr is significantly worse than you.

flop is a ck/c. villain can bet draws and worse pairs. you might have the best hand now and you have equity if you're behind.

watch your opponent when the turn card comes. how does he act? he might check behind. if he doesn't i would fold if the turn is a heart because it kills your equity and bet bet on a flushed turn is strong. not sure what else to say here--you gotta be willing to play poker. i wouldn't have a predetermined plan for a turned A/K/blank. it depends on opponent's behavior and his betsizing.

fwiw, in the KK hand i probably would have gotten it in. live players in the 1/2-2/5 range check/raise TP type hands a lot, usually 2-2.5x. sometimes they are info raises, sometimes it's AQ and they're trying to get stacks in. it all depends on what you think of your opponent, and there are many players i would fold KK to in that spot, but against a rando or seemingly bad player i'll take my chances.
