i was in BB with ~$250..there was a limp from early pos, a raise from hj to 17 and a call from cutoff..folds to me and i see 99.. i opt to just call and early position calls too.. everyone covers me .flop comes 5 8 9 rainbow.. i check, utg checks, and hj bets 90$. cutoff folds and i opt to shove for ~140 on top..utg folds and hijack snap folds .

i did see tat early position was not happy about my shove..perhaps he had some kind of straigt draw?? i was just curious wat else i could have done for value.. i mean a flat of 90 dollars is so strong already , i figured hijack had an overpair and i was going to get a crying call or someting.

could i please get some advice on wat you guys would do differently if anyting? thank you.

Seems standard. That's a huge flop bet though. Doesn't really make much sense to almost 2x pot it.You probly got more than you should've.

I would also just flat preflop and setmine in what is shaping up to be a multiway pot.

I would have donked the flop. Depending on how aggro raiser is both pre and post, there's no guarantee he's going to bet. Let's just get this thing started ourselves.

As played, I probably just flat the huge bet and even check the turn since we'll still easily get stacks in on the river if turn checks thru. Plus board isn't insanely drawy so there's not too many scare cards that could slow things down (besides, we'll have less than a PSB left on the turn so even if a scare card comes the Villain might think they are committed).

No, I dont like flatting here. I would have liked to lead otf.
As played, I think shoving is fine

i think i would call and let him blast the last 50 in on the turn. it seems like you have no fold equity but playing results oriented i guess you do...

i think in the moment i would shove too

I think Villain has $140 behind, not $50.

Good chance he just had AK or something and wanted to bully everyone out of the pot.

Nh on your part, if he had a real hand I'm sure he would have called.
Bingo. Your play is fine. If you flat a huge bet like that on the flop anyone with an IQ over 40 will know to give up the hand on the turn lol

Damned if you and damned if you don't. Looks like villain wanted to buy the pot as played.

But we also give them a free chance at hitting an overcard (where they'll then have to stack off). Plus perhaps allow in guy behind us (which we really don't mind on this board).
