500 effective
New table, waiting for players to arrive, 6-handed. Never played with V1 or V2 before, so I'm readless. I know.the main Villain V2 does play higher stakes from time to time.

Straddle on for 6. Folds to Hero in SB who makes it 25 with AK. V1 in BB calls, V2 in straddle calls. Pot=75.

Flop: 57A
Hero bets 50, V1 calls, V2 calls (Pot=225)

Turn: 6
Hero bets 100, V1 folds, V2 shoves for 425. Hero?

Thoughts: Before Vs shove I felt like the turn was a really great card for me. All of the OESDs picked up a pair and are likely to continue. Would love to get feedback if our turn sizing is OK
I bet on the smaller side to try to get worse Ax to continue.

You should at least have tentative reads based on how they bought in, what they're chatting about, how they are dressed, demographics, etc.

Turn bet is OK, imo. Now fold, unless V is a likely maniac. This is 2pair plus for most Vs, and the Baluga Theorem applies.

Make a read and go with it but the default is fold.

Turn bet is a little too small on what is now a really wet board. Villains can have a lot of pair+draw hands that will call a decent sized bet and the weak hands give up when you continue multiway.

I typically limp/reraise here as I'm not in love with preflop result (OOP, readless, small SPR of ~6 where there isn't a lot of room to move, offering IO of 21+).

I'm either/or on flop mainly due to being readless. Against standard ABC non-bluffy chasey opponents, I'd lean to bet/folding a street or two. Against more experienced players (V2 plays higher?), I might just check this OOP and start underrepping my hand to get to showdown.

If we're betting the turn, I think in general we have to fold to raises until we have a read that suggests otherwise, especially since it's pretty obvious we have a big Ace the way we've played the hand so far (mostly our opponents are hoping we can't fold it here).

After he shoved, he leaned forward at the table and made direct eye contact with me. He also did the thing where he held his cards face down a quarter inch off the table, as if he were about to muck. He was broadcasting that he expected me to fold. I thought this could be the classic Mike Caro tell of strength = weakness -- or it could be a reverse tell.

Ultimately I folded, as I thought that I looked pretty strong when I bet flop/turn two streets into two players, and his double belly-buster and 2-pair combos all got there. Oh well.

Pretty tough spot, villain can shove on you really wide and this is fairly high in our range - seems like we can get exploited here pretty easily, I can't really convince myself that folding is better than call - it might be a little better but hero is getting quite a good price

I'd exploit fold, especially this combo of AK since you block all the nut semibluffs. Most people don't raise as a bluff into the extreme strength you're showing. Also given that V1 came along on the flop V2 could definitely come along with these low card type hands that made two pair or random gutshot
