V1: Short stack, chatty older asian guy, has been shoving with nonsense into small pots repeatedly and showing his hands

V2: Quiet older asian guy, not much of a read on him

OTTH

V1 has a stack of ~150. V2 has a stack of ~650. Hero has them all covered.

Hero is in MP looks down at A3, makes it 30. V2 in CO calls, V1 in BB completes.

Flop ($90): 474

V1 lead shoves for 120.

I call with a lot of equity (flush draw, 1 over, BD straight) and the tendency of V1 to shove.

V2 reshoves on top for 530 more. Total pot is 860.

I have to call 530 to win 1390, so I need around 38% equity. Do you think I have the right equity to call here?

At best V2 has a full house or a 4 but most likely all over pairs or combo draws.

Probably not on a paired board.

Unlikely that V2 shoves here with 7s full. I think we can rule that out. Maybe he has a 4 but also very unlikely. 45 suited is the only hand I can think of, and I block 34 suited and A4 suited.

LOL, agree we can rule out his boat.

Maybe it's better for analytical purposes to divide this into side-pot math and main pot HU vs. V2. You need to call 530 total, so you need 531 lol of equity.

On side pot: let's assume the worst and that you have 8 outs twice, so you're 18% to win 450, so equity is 81. This flop smashes BB range so he likely has 4x and the xs boats him up. V2 is wider but let's assume your flush would be good.

Main pot: 940 HU vs. V2 range. Since he flatted pre, I think we can rule out V2 having an overpair.

You were uncapped until you flatted the shorty's jam. When you did this, V2 figures you have no overpair and he can swing away. He can show up with everything from 7x, mid-pair, small FD, straight draw,77 and the case 4x.

You need 450 of equity, or be basically even money, against his range, to make this call. 4x: 18% 7x :38%. A7: 18% Mid-pair:40%. Small FD:98%. Straight draw 65:78%, 77:0%.

I think it's pretty close but I can fold a fold here especially since you have all the NFDs. His range has to be tilted toward 4x and 7x and mid-pairs. Unless he's a cowboy, I can find a fold.
