I knew beforehand he would 3bet there with AQ.

I believe he would in this spot probably 3bet with AJ too.

Remember we were 4-handed and everybody in the hand was probably quite weak.

UTG had 66 btw. He would have made Quads

Not sure if description was clear that table was only 4-handed, unless I missed it. When you say "UTG raised, I called on the button", I think most readers assume full table and everyone in between you guys folded. At least I did.

I see!

It was in the title though...
Next time I'll specify the table is 4 handed not the hand involved 4 players.

I still think if you aren't set mining this is a raise fold situation preflop. If you think Villain's range is only like AJs+ and bigger pairs then it is a pretty clear fold.

If you think it is like 77+, AJ+ and suited broadway hands it is probably closer and I wouldn't mind a shove pre-flop if you think you have any fold equity at all.

Otherwise you are going to find yourself in a bunch of guessing spots the majority of the time post. This hand is an example of that. You get about as good of a flop as you could ask for and you have no idea where you are.
