Hero has been at the table for about 2 hours and is perceived as a tight player capable of moves. Is up 100 and has $300.

Villain: Has just sat down a few orbits ago, seems to be a solid player and is probably a reg in these games. Covers Hero.

Im in the small blind with 86o and he limps the button with 2 previous limpers.

Flop: Q 8 6 rainbow. (pot $10)

Checks around to first limper who bets 10, cutoff flats, villain flats, I raise to 45. Fold, fold, button flats. Heads up to the turn.

Turn: Q 8 6 3 rainbow (pot $120)

Hero bets $105. Villain shoves. Hero??

I realized after the hand that my bet sizing on the turn is probably a mistake since I could have bet $75 and had a way easier time bet/folding. What do you guys think?

Fold pre.
Lead flop. c/r tends to fold out the hands we beat...
As played, bet turn smaller.
As played, fold. Odds are great but without reads that villain is bad and spewy, we should never have the best hand here.

Cant fold pre. I like leading flop.

My bad, didn't see SB and BB are the same.

Definitely lead flop. C/r could fold out queens or allow straight draws to get a free card.

C/R is fine under a great deal of circumstances. I think I am close to 50/50 b/t x/r and lead flop. Once we bet 105 ott and get jammed on we can't fold. Leaving room to fold to a raise should nto be a major consideration in our sizing.

The completion in the small blind with a 1 gapper after several limps getting 9-1 on a call is fine. And sounds like you realize you mistake was the sizing on the turn. Even half pot is a decent size bet. Remember don't go broke in a limped pot especially with a weak 2 pair. As played I don't think I'm folding due to the fact that the button flatted the flop. I guess he could have 88 or 66 but you have blockers.

Also was 300 the effective stack?

Yes 300 effective stacks.

He did end up having 66 after I called. Thanks for the input.
