Another hand from when I was playing £1/£1 in a strong 10 handed game. Again the amounts are not exact but fairly accurate.
Some info on the players in the hand:
UTG(Very tight rock) £100
MP1(loose) £80
I am pretty short after set over set a few hands before and haven't reloaded as of yet.
Dealt 10
10
(£50) in the Hijack
UTG raises to £5, MP1 calls £5, Hero calls £5
Flop - 6
3
8
UTG bets £15, MP1 raises £35, Hero folds
Firstly, should I have shoved pre-flop? I did think for a minute about whether to shove or call but I elected to flat call purely because I didn't think I was getting it in good against the UTG raise. They had been playing very tight UTG would not be opening anything with that bet sizing with less then a premium hand. But regardless of my read, should I still be shoving pre-flop?
On the flop I was considering shoving even with no club against UTG thinking its very possible they have AK, AQ with one club. But once MP1 gets involved then I am done.
UTG flipped AA with no club and MP1 missed their flush draw. As it happens I rivered a set, but did I make the right play given my read?
