2/5 game everyone has about a $1000 give or take $100

game is pretty loose My image is loose maniac but when in reality I just play ABC and punish the limper/calling station. The villain in question plays pretty straight forward and I have never seen make any crazy wild moves

so a few people limp and then the villain makes it 25 in the hijack
I am on the button look down at 10 10
I decide just to call as was having a few problem with the table calling my 3 bets and having a real hard time playing after the flop, I also just call since the villain would only being calling with better or flipping type of hands.
I other guy calls the loose maniac on the left of the PFR

pot is about 90

Flop is
5 6 8
the maniac checks
the PFR checks
I decide that I probably have the best hand and bet 70
the maniac calls
then the PRF raises to 150
hero???????

I just couldn't put the PFR on a hand he is pretty solid and would not raise with 7 10 pre flop but I knew he wouldn't like checking on this flop if he had
Over pairs
sets
2 pairs
as it was super wet and wouldn't like the flush/straight draws getting there for free.

Fold. Don't commit ur stack with overpair. U r ahead 1/3 of the time against the range u put villain on namely OP, set or 2 pair. I will add another hand A9

Your reads suggest an AJdd type of hand, but you have to be really sure he doesn't do this with QQ or 88 to continue here and I'm not sure I'm convinced. It's coin flop/crushed so I fold pretty easily.

Fold. I see tight-ish bad villains do this often with overpairs. They see the wet board and check the flop hoping to see a "safe" turn before throwing anymore money into the pot. I expect to see overpairs enough times in this situation that this is a fold for me.

Probably a good time to walk ... but ... V raise is not very big at $80 into $300. You might be looking at 2 outs though unless the flush comes, then you need runner-runner quads.

Against 2 opponents here it may look like an easy call, but your diamond is no good .. you need r/r for a straight .. you are very likely up against a dominating hand and a player on a draw that may not fold even if you price him out by 3-betting here OTF.

Look at the PF action ... a 'few' people limp and V 'only' opens for $25. Does he have a standard opener? Would he open the same with AA in late position?

Is he going to pay you off if you set mine? By flatting that's all you are doing here. I think you mean that 'the table' was always calling your 3-bets and not giving you credit for hands. You actually have a hand here ... Are you telling us that the limpers will cold call your 3-bet after V opens?

It seems that you have a pretty good spot here with your image and 'protection' from a straight forward player to 3-bet. You indicate that the V will fold out all that you beat PF ... Would you rather get that information PF than dump $70 into the pot here only to see it go up in smoke? Perhaps you are in the same spot where he would c/r you, but you wouldn't have the other player in the hand, maybe?

I am all for mixing up your play, but I am just struggling here that you wouldn't use your 'image' when you actually do have a hand to work with. I can see your thought process and I may be 'results' thinking here.

AP ... Will V ever believe that you have a set? V may just put you on a draw if you 3-bet here trying to get HU with maniac. V bet is just so small ... either a big mistake on his part or trying to induce. I think it's still a fold (88/JJ+/AKdd) and I really hope that I get to see his cards somehow. GL

Well i ended up calling the raise as did the maniac. As soon as I called I realized my mistake as I wasn't really beating much

Turn was J :hearts:
Checked to Villain who bombs 450
I just folded out putting him on flush draw and he might of had the J of diamonds or over pair
I was speaking too him later about the hand and told me he had a set of 8's
