I am only a few days away from getting hauled off to Annual Training-ville by the National Guard and am looking for book suggestions to continue my studying process and keep my game sharp.

Whichever book I choose should not be an easy read. It should be full of difficult concepts which need careful thought and consideration. I need a book that only by the fifth read will you begin to put all the pieces together.

I am currently playing 10NL on Bovada as a side game to stay sharp at my Main game which is Live 1/2 NL.

What are your suggestions?

There's a whole forum section on books somewhere, go find it.

Also if you're playing live 1/2 NL, stop reading books that will make you level yourself. The players in those games are all on level 0, some of them will try to put you on a hand which is somewhere between 0-1.
The kind of book you're looking for wouldn't help at all in these games.

As to some real suggestions:
- No Limit Hold'Em Theory and Practice by David Sklanksky and Ed Miller
- Professional No-Limit Hold'Em by Matt Flynn, Sunny Mehta and Ed Miller
- Reading Poker Tells by Zachary Ellwood

There are also book that deal specifically with low stakes NLHE, they're probably in the book forum section.

Started reading and it says this:

This book will explain shorthanded No-Limit Hold ‘em to you in two steps

So It's not about full ring, but 6 max?

Upon further review though, lots of sections apply to both games it is very precise good info.
Like you said, too many books trying to give advice in situations you just don't run in to at 1/2 stakes.

I am not so worried about leveling myself. Looking for a solid understanding in math based theory, ranges, combinitorics etc...

Full ring is a must.

Thanks for the suggestions so far!
