Easy call.

There is 550 in the pot and you need to call another 217. Villain could make this move as a semi bluff with FDs (and maybe a few combos of SDs) and trips with worse kickers.

I might typically have to raise a little more to thin the field after 2 limpers at my table, but your raise sizing got the job done, HU in position with initiative, nice.

SPR is 8, which will need 3 streets of fairly decent sized bets to get stacks in, and typically we wouldn't want to do that with TPTK unless up against the payoffy of payoff stations. So with this in mind, I probably wouldn't PSB the flop, and more go like $30 (noting we should easily be able to get away from scare cards so as not to give IO). A PSB I think starts building too big a pot for our hand (although it does get more immediate value from draws, and admittedly this guy ain't folding a draw to a PSB).

Kinda tough spot on the turn. How loose is Villain preflop? If he's tightened up a bit since you've seen him last, his range for calling preflop HU OOP might have improved to just pocket pairs instead of Tx/97 hands, so better chance he does actually have the fullhouse. How aggro is he postflop? Can he attempt to rep scare cards like this when he has a draw?

I'm guessing the looser he is preflop and the more aggro he is postflop, the more we have to payoff here (even though I'm not loving it), especially since any Tx will consider themselves nutted.

Does anyone consider folding here as we block trip Ts but don't block any 97s, 88/66? Really hard to fold with the A kicker in real time though. Crying call. Results?

Snap call. Nothing else you can do except fold pre, which I wouldn't do.

No way. This is a very easy call.

If the range of hands that beat us is {88,66,97s}, we only need to add three combos of worse trips with a FD to make this a call. In reality live players are playing a lot more offsuit combos and tend to treat any trips as the nuts.

Just yesterday I stacked someone holding J8o against my AJ for $680 on a JJ2 flop, with another player also all-in! This stuff is not uncommon. Many, many live players have a very poor understanding of the relative strength of trips hands.

I think it's important to consider the fact that we block tens, but he still has a lot of tens in his range. He has four combos each of KTo, QTo, and JTo; one combo of 9Ts; and lots of flush draws.

There's also good reason to believe that he didn't flop a set, straight, or top two. This is a scary board. Lots of players will check/raise with those hands to avoid being drawn out on. When he just calls the flop, I think we can discount those hands at least a bit.

For similar reasons, I think a lot of players will slow down when they hit a full house. He's now less worried about being drawn out on and won't mind giving you a card to hit a flush draw on the river.
