1/3 Turn set, river boat--Jam, call or value raise? 1/3 Turn set, river boat--Jam, call or value raise?

$1/$3 NLHE Live (plays like $2/$5 so I'm posting here).
Eff stacks of $600 +
Doing this from my iPhone, so no hand converter, sorry.
My image is VERY LAG. Villain is big stack and has played tight and solid so far. I've been at the table about two hours. He had a big stack when I sat down and has not been using it to push people around. Standard raise is b/t $11 and $21.
(BB) Villain $1,100
(MP) Hero $620

Hero (8h8c) opens to $11. Villain calls.
($23) [AQ4r] Villain checks, Hero bets $11, Villain calls.
($46) [AQ4r] [8s] Villain checks, Hero bets $22, Villain calls.
($90) [AQ4r] [8s] [Ac] (no flushes or staights) Villain bets $50.

Hero?

I'm almost positive he has an ace here.

Bet more on the flop/check flop, bet more on the turn, shove the river.

Also post in the Small Stakes forum.

Bet sizing sucks.

Since you got there like this, raise it like $185

Yeah, I agree on the betsizing. Was kind of goofing around.

I raised to $150 on the river and got called by AJ. I think as played I should have raised to about $225. The guy said he was going to call a lot more. I think shoving the river there is terrible, but wondered what others thought. I might have gotten paid though, who knows. Thanks for the replies.

its obvious he has an ace just pick the amount that yuo think he will call , i think between 200-250 is good. Bet alot more on turn almost close to pot.
Live players dont look at bet sizing as long as its reasonable. If he has an ace he will never fold turn to a potsize bet.

I'm going with flop bet 15, turn bet 35, river raise to 210. gimme value! especially with your read that he was holding an ace and very likely can't fold it to a decently sized raise. 250 might be pushing it, somewhere between 180-225 is likely the sweet spot.

Bet more on turn, easy value raise. Make a big raise and fold to a shove against nitty opponent as you describe. Nits don't 3bet river w/o at least a full house here and always call w trips.

Why does everyone here post results after 3 posts? The advice you get is going to suffer tremendously by posting results. Not to pick on you, but this is like the 100th time I've seen this in this forum and it is so not conducive to good hand discussion.

You are right. Sorry...I was too impatient. This is like my 1st or 2nd post.

EDIT: Yeah, that makes 9 posts.

I wish u hadn't posted the results either...

I would say bigger flop and then after u hit bingo, bigger on the turn...

As played, r/f for ~$175 as a 'nit' would never raise with less than a better boat
