Hi,

effective stacks 500.

UTG1 good lag player opens to 12. MP had played few hands assume tight calls.

Cutoff had seat down few orbits ago squeezes to 45.

I have been playing for several hours and my image is cleary tight. Utg1 also been playing for seveal hours.

I have TTs on BTN.

Call seems very bad so i consider raise 120 or fold.

Your thoughts please

tks

Funny, I think calling to set mine / play poker is fine if you expect UTG1 and MP to come along, which they probably will. If you get the sense UTG1 is really strong and might 4bet, just fold, because folding is fine, too, regardless. I don't raise here.

A few more reads would help. How often does the LAG open early? How often does he 3bet/4bet? What type of vibe do you get from CO (gamble-y, tight, OMC, average, etc.)? Is this his first 3bet?

Generally, I'm going to give an unknown player's 3bet range a lot of credit as a default and then adjust as I've seen more hands. However, in this spot I don't hate flatting on the button. Only worried about being 4bet from the UTG player, but most of the time we are going 4 ways to a $200 pot with position and $450 behind. If we are in the SB I think I'm probably just folding but taking note of whatever 3better has if it goes to showdown.

Call isn't terrible at these stack depths. We have a pretty good hand on the button. UTG1 is opening wide so we don't have to fear the 4-bet as much. Also if we can get this to go 4 ways we can expect people to play a little more honest postflop, which is good when we want to see a free turn, or get a good flop we want to bet. Just folding is fine too. We're usually just throwing away $45 with our call, but we will win a big pot every now and again. 4-betting TT seems like a value-bluff. We really can't get action from much worse if we 4-bet. I'd probably rather 4-bet A3s, where it has some removal to earn folds and we can just happily chuck it if we get jammed on.

Yeah, I definitely don't think we can call for this much, while still possibly facing a reraise preflop or a stoopid spot postflop HU facing a cbet. So I'm never calling here.

I just fold. We don't have much of a read on CO, but in the end he's 3betting. So until I can clarify a read that says he is well aware of what EP is all about and can squeeze remotely lightly, I'm just going to fold until then.

If we call, I highly doubt this is going heads up. It's less than 10% of effective stacks, most likely going three or four ways. Calling seems perfectly fine, unless UTG1 has been 4betting a lot or never open-raising from EP except with monsters.

Even though I play in a great preflop game (2 sessions ago I limp/reraised a $10 open to $70 and went lol 4ways to the flop), even I don't expect the average outcome to a 3bet to be 4ways (although I fully admit that can happen).

Fold. Im not convinced medium pairs are profitable in spots like this, especially at lower stakes. If its a splashy game im more willing to do something.
