Hero ($450, UTG+1): Mid 20s white guy. Solid, winning image, probably viewed as TAGish if anyone is paying attention, but most players probably think I'm LAG because I'm raising most pots I've been in and haven't limped much. I've had decent hands so far today though.

V ($200ish, SB): Older middle eastern guy. Been at table for about two orbits, seems to get in a lot of pots but mainly taking passive lines. Called down two barrels earlier with TPMK, check back river and lost to better kicker.

OTTH: Hero is dealt !! UTG+1 and raises to $18. folds to V who flats in SB, all other fold.

Flop ($40): K57

I lead for $30, V calls.

Turn ($100): 3

I lead for $70, V tank calls.

River ($240): K

V leads all-in for his remaining $80 something chips.

FML, because it's pretty face up what he has.

Does hero just make the crying call getting like 4:1? Should I have just shoved on river so I'm not stuck with this decision and getting these odds?

Preflop setup an SPR 4.5 hand HU with initiative (and in position if I've read things right), so nice result.

Flop we should probably consider ourselves committed against this guy. With the board being relatively dry, I'm cool with just milking him for 3 bets instead of trying to get this done in 2 streets. So I'm cool with flop and turn.

Even though we were committed on the flop, the river card changes everything, and against this guy I think we can sigh fold the river. This guy is a passive guy who has a K (or perhaps 64 which got there on the turn, or it's even possible we were behind to 77/55 the whole way). Is he really doing this with QQ/etc. enough for a call to be profitable? Doubtful.
