1/3 game 300 max buy in

Hero $600 probably view as pretty tight haven't seen much action. Been at the table a few hours.
I have never been here before at this casino.

Villain $200 Mexican guy. Borderline newbie but seems like he plays somewhat regularly. Only has two lower teeth. 🤓

Hero BB 97

5 players limp villain utg 2
Pot $15 pre rake
Flop 65A

Hero checks then checked around.

Turn 8

Before hero begins to bet, villain bets $10 out of turn. I ask dealer if I check is this bet of $10 binding, he says no. Wtf. Okay. Utg 1 folded pre

So knowing villains some what liking his hand I bet $30. Villain calls. All else fold

Pot $75

River 8

I'm not loving this card but I bet anyway $55.

Villain insta shoves $112 more to me.

Whatcha got?

I'm planning to b/f this river, so I bet more in the 40 dolla range. Fold now.

I like a call in this spot. If villain flopped a set I don't think he checks a wet flop like that. Him trying to bet out of turn then just calling makes me think he has a single 8 and not two pair or a set again on such a wet board. I dont think he wakes up and tries to bet a flush draw on the turn and not the flop and with a pait on board that is a tough shove. I suspect he has 3 8's.

Preflop and flop look obvious.

When Villain bets out-of-turn, I would probably just let that stand and then check raise. With so many in the pot, there's a good chance we see a lotta calls and can then get in a big raise and set things up for a river shove (which betting out is unlikely to do). It's up to people to protect their own hands by playing in turn, so I wouldn't consider this an angle so long as we aren't doing anything intentional here (like hiding our cards, taking an unreasonable amount of time with our checks trying to induce out-of-turn action, etc.).

As played, I love our big overbet on the turn, nice.

Obviously a pretty bad river card. I doubt this guy is getting out-of-line with river raises (unless he's overvalueing an 8x on this board), so I'd just bet/fold the river. I'd go much smaller so as to get paid off by worse hands, so no more than 1/2 PSB.

As played, I fold to the raise.

Im ck-deciding this riv once he calls the 30 ott after trying to bet 10 - 87/89 likely just calls riv and it's slightly less likely given your hand Obv. Fold riv AP I suppose.

looks more like a flush, then a boat. I think its possible for him to have some eights, but I think your probably beat

Standard pre and flop. Obviously bet the turn, but once villains acts out of turn, you should check-raise. It gets more money in the pot and encourages others to call behind him.

Bet-fold around 40-50. Fold.

That was my original plan. Check and let his bet stand. I asked the dealer if this $10 bet is binding but the dealer, according to the house rules, stated if I check he can do anything he wants. If the dealer said the bet is binding I would have check raised for sure. I didn't want to check and he just checks back.

Fair enough, i think if he checks back the turn after betting out of turn it just absolutely screams flush draw. Anyways, this looks like a flush to me. I doubt he is snap shipping three 8's. I lay it down.
