1/3 underground game that plays much bigger; most of the players at the table have $1000+ and there's been generally crazy action. I've been sitting for ~90 minutes and have been thoroughly card-dead with no good spots, so my image is fairly nitty/pristine. Seen a few flops and raise-folded pre to a shove and reshove, but mostly just watching as people move stacks around with abandon. I don't have significant history with any of the villains; afaik nobody at the table is a complete dolt.
V1 (~$500) has been at the table for threeish orbits after waiting an hour for his seat. He's new to this particular game and has been extremely quiet so far; don't know if he's played a hand. Prob early 20s.
V2 (~$500) will play some speculative hands pre and is fairly straightforward post, willing to take uncomplicated value lines as well as getting it in with one-pair hands and strong draws but otherwise content to wait and hit. One of the tighter players at the table.
V3 (heaps) is aggro and thinking; not quite as variance-happy as some of the adrenaline junkies who are playing but certainly willing to apply multistreet pressure with big bets, to play a wide range of hands for bluffs and thin value, and to call down light when he thinks you're capped.
Ten-handed play. V3 straddles the button to $6 and both blinds fold. V1 is UTG and flats.
I've got around $350 and flat K
Q
from UTG+1 with multiple LAGs immediately behind.
LAGs fold, V2 flats from CO and V3 checks his button option.
Flop ($28): K
Q
9
V1 checks without much hesitation, I toss out $20, V2 folds, V3 calls quickly, V1 calls quickly.
Turn ($88): 3
V1 checks after a couple of seconds, I bet $50, V3 folds, V1 calls fairly quickly.
River ($188): J
V1 doesn't think long before betting $125. I...?
Most streets felt marginal and could be discussed. Wasn't sure about flatting vs raising in relatively early position pre with ~60 BB effective given table dynamics and my image, could have checked flop if I thought V3 would bet with most of his range, could have slowed down on the turn when called in two spots.
Thoughts?
