1/3 Red KK

V1: younger kid about the same age as me. Has 300 to start. Seems pretty good. He has direct position on me. Out of everyone at the table probably the player I least likely wanna play against. Showing some aggression pre and post. Small bet sizes typically. Hasnít gone to showdown

H: I cover. Also very young. Iíve been opening a lot and isolating I have 3 very bad players to my right. I think he may be noticing this. Iíve also had very very good hands which he is probably unaware of at this point

OTTH: one limp I raise HJ to 15 with red Kings. He 3! To 45

I just decide to 4! To 135 he calls

(270) Flop: Qc 7c 8h

That pots already big Iím OOP I guess we could just shove but I donít think we get called by worse and he easily could have AA or QQ and jacks fold here

We check and he checks

Turn 6c

We check call 75 ??

River 9 check check

Thoughts?

Pot size is 270 on flop and villain has 165 remaining? I bet this flop always/we're never folding here with this flop. Sometimes straightforward play is the best.......

Just GII on the flop man. You will be surprised what people call with. You got almost half the stacks in preflop. There is a good chance this is an AA vs KK spot, but just go with it.

Wtf. You commit nearly half of your stack pre and don't see an A on the flop. Jamming flop 100%. You will get called by worse and there's $270 there even if you don't. Instant jam.

Re: 1/3 Red KK

I think A small cbet would be mandatory and sigh call if he shoves on the flop. Ultimately worked out since your opponent didnít really take any aggressive actions during this hand post flop. Still played it well imo

I like a smaller 4bet to about 95. That way we can put in a very small cbet on every flop.
As played u gotta shove the flop. SPR<1...

Re: 1/3 Red KK

I really don't mind mixing in flop checks against competent opponents you expect to see again. It's not that risky heads up and you keep some fat value in your checking range.

The turn x/c is criminal. I can't see any argument for it. Just shove. It's a wet turn and most thinking opponents will put all of your AK and semi-bluffs in your range after that flop action. And for the love of god, if you do decide to check, and your opponent bets 75 out of their remaining 165, just stick in the remaining 90 dollars.

Re: 1/3 Red KK

His range is probably wider than you think, possibly as far as AQ+/JJ+. On that flop you are only losing to AA and QQ, beating the AK/AQ and JJ type hands. If he is willing to play that way with KQs, then you are even farther ahead.

I think I'm just sticking it in on the flop and calling it a day.
