10/25 SRD game in Paramaribo (equivalent 1/3 USD). 5 handed, Mississippi straddle of 50, I limp in the SB with K
T
, BB folds, UTG folds, CO limps, BU makes it 150, I call, CO calls.
Flop (475): 3
5
7
, effective stacks ~2000. I check, CO checks, BU bets 400.
With such a big bet, a player left to act and being out of position, I don't think a call is very good here. A shove would look very strong (I think) and put CO in a spot where he can pretty much only stack off with 2 pair +. Also if BU cbet with bare overcards, he probably needs to fold (maybe some 78 type hand too?), while he is likely ahead of my hand. When called my equity is almost always decent-good.
Standard stack off when adding up equity + fold equity? Yes I know I'm gamb0ling a bit pre so I might as well shove even if it's not too profitable. I guess it's somewhat close anyway, but a mistake in a 200bb pot is obviously worse than a mistake preflop.
