I wasn't going to be able to sleep (and I've been awake for 36 hours now) until I posted this hand that I can't stop thinking about
:
I got to my local game about 3 hours into the play tonight, they usually play 5-6 hours. It's only my 4th session at this raked $1/3 NL game, about 10 people have been there at least 2 or 3 of those 4 times and I've probably seen 20 different faces total at the game.
When I arrived it was 5 handed, so I made it 6 handed, a couple stacks of $600ish, a couple of $400, a couple $300. I buy in for $400.
Over the course of the next 3 hours I have the cards and the mindset that results in me looking like a LAGtard. Thinking I was ahead with a KTs which flopped a top pair, folding out an opponent's AT that had me beat and showing my cards anyway, and 2-3 other hands like that combined with a very big hand to end my session 5 days ago which was pretty much identical, making a better hand fold and showing (This is a bad idea and I'm going to have to try very hard not to be results-oriented in the future, but I think meta-game wise this will pay off for my next couple of sessions there).
So 2 or 3 guys have been burnt by my play, also including a couple of marginal calls of raises that I got to eventually show down a winner with a bad pre-flop hand.
It gets to 5-handed, after 2 AM, and I take down more than my fair share of pots with pre-flop bets or aggression on the flop as the only thing I really know about 5/6 max poker is to be aggressive. Villain to my immediate right is the game's token rock. Been there all 4 sessions and is considered to be, for the MOST part (obviously he mixes it up once in a while) to only show down very good pre-flop hands. Over this session and last session, I've burnt him at least 3 times for significant amounts of money ($200 or more at stake in the pot), two of which were showing him that he folded a better hand than mine and one of which was a marginal/bad pre-flop call hitting and making his Aces pay off. He has said, multiple times and very shortly before the following hand, "I'm going to get you one of these times".
With that in mind, here we go:
$1/3 No Limit Hold'em - 5 players
UTG : $400

Given reads, what is your play if he raises to $120? What if he raises All-in?
