Villain (MP): limp calls 73s, raised $20 with 54o once ($900)
Hero (MP): image doesn't matter vs this guy ($550)

One limper to villain who makes it $20. Hero calls with 77. Limper calls.

Flop: 433 ($59)

Checked to villain who bets $40. Hero calls. Limper folds.

Turn: K ($139)

Checked to turn. Easy check back? Betting doesn't really make him fold better unless it's like TT no heart. Betting also doesn't make him call worse unless it's 55 or 66 with a heart. I feel like if he turned a FD he'd keep betting. On the other hand checking back allows me to get bluffed off if a non heart high card hits and he bets river. Very unpredictable fish dunno if he would thin value AQ if a Q hit.

There's merit to betting but I prefer x/b

Big fish is gonna x/f TT no heart? Confused.

You haven't given much of a read. But if he's likely to bluff the river, then check turn and call all river cards looks good.

So, he checked turn? I, too, would check and call most rivers if he bets. I'd check behind on river if we get the option, unless we bink a beautiful 7.

The one thing both of your posts on this Villain have in common is they describe how he's a preflop fish (calling or making raises with junk hands). What you don't say is how he plays postflop, which when deeper stacked is *much* more important.

Would really need some better postflop reads on this guy, but it isn't even evident to me yet that being the first to call preflop with 77 is a no-brainer. If he spews off money postflop, yeah, I'm calling and hoping a bunch of others call and setmining. If he's not horrendous postflop, then it's debatable whether this call is profitable.

Again, postflop reads needed for flop play. He did just bet into 2 opponents, although a lot of people probably cbet 100% of their range here, so I'm guessing calling is probably fine.

The more bluffier he is, the more I check back to bluffcatch river. The less bluffier he is, the more I probably bet the turn simply to protect my hand (which at this point is probably best, aiming to check back the river).

Need far better reads other than the fact that he plays junk preflop, imo.

^ call pre here is definitely profitable. Folding is ludicrous pre. Agree with the rest
