V($280) - Loose player, opens wide and calls wide. Have seen him spazz with some bluffs in the past

H(covers) - active image, been playing a lot of hands recently

V opens to 10 in EP
H 3 bet to 30 in EP+1 w/AQo
V calls

Flop AQ8dds (60)
V checks, H bets 30, V calls

Turn Js (120)
V checks, H bets 75, V calls

River 8o (270)
V shoves 145, H calls ??

The rationale for half pot sizes on this board and vs this villain is because this board smacks my range, and want to get calls from his wider range, and maybe induce a spazz?

Line check, and bet sizing input appreciated.

Looks good assuming you called river. Donks love this line with whiffed draws and you are nowhere near deep enough to consider folding.

Snap call. Missed draws. Ax that villain is “bluffing” at to get you to fold a chop show up way more than 8x. Especially with V’s EP open which would mean they are more likely suited 8x, and there arent many of those.

call river ldo. I like the betsizing as you outflopped some hands you were behind, and give an attractive price to decent second-best hands like AJ, and I'd also use the same flop bet size for a wide range of 3-betting hands.

Against a guy who is opening wide from everywhere, I'm ok with the 3bet although I likely go larger to setup a more comfortable stack off situation with TP postflop (plus we're totally cool with taking this down preflop).

SPR is 4 and board is drawy. On a bone dry board I'd be more cool with stringing him along / attempting to induce a bluff, but on this board I'd lean to PSB in order to PSB shove the turn.

By the river a bunch of draws busted, plus he can spazz, plus he could even be betting worse for value, and we don't have to be right very often. I call.

Call river all day, V knows you don't have any 8s in your range here and is trying to bluff you off a strong Ace imo.

Yeah sucks but not much you can do.

I would say against LAGs who call too wide, you can size higher on flop and turn (say $45+ and $90+) as they will still call so get more value when he doesn't get there. Obv doesn't change result but just something to think about.
