1/3, Friday night, full table, reasonably fishy as usual.
Note: Hero down $300 for session with bad beats and in 8 buyin downswing. Cannot take a trick.

Two limpers.
Hero ($300) open-raises to $21 in HJ with red kings.
Villain A (30yo European male decent-ish, 25/15) calls in CO.
Villain B (30yo Indian male fish, 50/10) calls on button.
Everyone else folds.

Flop ($73): Kc Jd 8c

Hero bets $40, Villain A calls, Villain B folds

Turn ($153): 5c

Hero checks, Villain bets $40 (!), Hero calls

River ($233): Ac

Hero checks, Villain bets $50

What do you do?
More importantly, how should this hand have been played earlier?

It appears based on your previous post that you're choosing your pre raise sizes based on the strength of your hand. In theory, we should be raising the same exact size with all of our hands.

I would honestly size up on this flop. Even though we have top set, the board is very wet. I would go $50 here.

Definitely do not check the turn. There is no way villain only has flushes here. I would bet $100 here.

We are super under repped on this river. I call, but I don't love it.

perfect hand to put into a flop check/raise range since we will want a substantial check/call range on a flop like this. (hands like Jx, QQ, TT, etc.) and also since we block so much of the calling range we are targeting with a bet. don't be too worried about giving a free card... draws will stab when checked to a large percentage of the time, and anyway their equity is way less than they think.
