1/3 KdQd interesting spot

Hi all,

H: pretty tight image. Main V knows me pretty well. I think Iím the effective stack with like 300-350?

V1: good player. Very laggy. Picks his spots very well.

V2: bad player very loose and generally passive. Playing way too many hands

OTTH: V2 limps HJ I ISO to 16 with KdQd V1 calls SB and V2 calls

(51) Flop Kh2c4c

Checks to me I bet 30 and both call.

(141) turn 5h V leads 85 from the SB

The problem here is heís repping so little and itís such a weird line but I think he understands bluffing into 2 opponents is Very bad especially V2 who does not like to fold at all.

16 is not "ISO sized" IMO.

30 is too small IMO.

Since we are (presumably) not folding, even if we agree that the foregoing are sizing errors, maybe we are up against Kx suited that has just made two pair, and maybe we are up against Kx that only has top pair, but since we are soon going to find out, I agree with Spy.

I'd go a bit bigger on the flop.

Our range includes all Ks, yet V1 is betting into us (and V2) -- essentially committing us? He could have some weird flush draw or combo draw, but I let this go. More power to him if we are ahead. Just muck and carry on.

Re: 1/3 KdQd interesting spot

I'm cool with preflop. Not pumped that V1 has come along plus reduced the SPR to a less playable ~6.5, but at least we're in position.

Even though the SPR is such that we can easily play for stacks over 3 streets, I'm not looking to do that having only gotten in 5% of my stack preflop and thus offering too good of IO to my opponents to stack off. So I'm cool with betting the flop as well as our sizing (which doesn't commit us).

I would lean to nit folding the turn. The pot is basically protected by the terrible V2 so V1 should never be bluffing here. He could be semi-bluffing (perhaps picking up a straight draw with his flush draw) but that's really best case scenario, imo.

Re: 1/3 KdQd interesting spot

The hand seems pretty standard so far, I like the preflop and flop sizes as I don't think you need to go bigger and you should get action from worse hands.

I'm assuming that V2 has folded to the 85 donk bet from V1 and it's now on you...

V1's range can have worse Kx, lots of KJcc/KTcc hands, some 2 pairs like 45s, some sets, and some combo draws such as 23hh/34hh/A4hh, 68cc, 67cc, etc.

V's sizing here makes me lean towards a vulnerable 2 pair holding or combo draw looking to make a blocker/semi-bluff/set-my-own-odds type bet.

At this point, I prefer a call and evaluate the river since you are in position. You are not blocking either flush draw, so I would be looking to call down on blank rivers, and decide on the rest.
