also want to note that the hand as played is a pretty good counterpoint to those advocating open-shoving. I'm pretty sure V1 with Ax is going to fold for a shove and the CRAI line got an extra $75 (25bb) out of the deal.

initially I would have said betting turn is better than checking, but I'm really reconsidering bc of combinatorics. It's unlikely there are 2 callers here without at least an A in their hand on this flop with no FD (esp given that we don't hold an A). given all the terrible river cards for top pair here, it's unlikely that the villain with an A is going to want to give a free card. so when we check, we should feel very confident about there being a bet. furthermore, our check looks exactly like a raise/cbet/give up line, so checking here helps balance us.
