About 1:45am. Playing 5/6 handed.

UTG limps. Hero has QcQd and raises to $15. SB calls, BB folds, UTG calls.

Flop: TdTc4c ($48)

Check, check, hero bets $20, SB x/r to $50, fold, hero folds

Don't come to my casino and exploit me pls But I just didn't think V would be x/r a FD that often here after a couple hours playing with him, seemed like your standard $1/$3 rec player, came in about 12 - hadn't been drinking but was seemed quite reccy nonetheless. He said 'check' rather than tap the table which was a bit out of character.

I just made the super-exploito fold - if I was playing $2/$5 against an unknown or against someone who's game I know is good then I wouldn't be folding here, but I make these sort of folds against ABC $1/$3 players from time to time.

Thoughts?

Well, if you're sure, good for you I guess.

Having Qc reduces his bluffing combos but people show up with 66 or AJ or nonsense like that all the time

Ah okay, I didn't really think about random bluffs - my thoughts were if V had a FD I don't want to be facing a sizeable bet OTT regardless of whether it comes in or not.

If you call here, what are you doing on a brick turn facing a ~1/2 pot bet?

Stack sizes and reads play too big a role in this decision to give any type of guidance on this.

For example, if the starting stack size was $75, this is a terrible fold. If the villain was OMC coming in very early for his morning shift, it is a good fold.

People do random nonsense on these paired boards. Definitely calling a barrel on a blank turn.

Effective stacks?

My bad, Hero started with a full stack, V covered

That's a pretty solid flop for Queens...I think you have the SB's range crushed here so its a standard call in position. Seems like he is testing your Cbet on a fairly dry board, but I don't like a reraise because you scare off bluffs...

You cannot be folding here, esp when 40% psbing and possibly inducing a ton of spaz

i fold here much more often than i call at 1/3 and i print money. Raises by fish are almost always overpair+, so that leaves JJ as the only hand you beat. the goal at lowstakes (and really in general) isnt to be unexploitable its to exploit.

Make a note that this player check raised a pretty dry board and see if he is making a habit of it in the future.
