I played this hand in Aria, Vegas yesterday and wanted to ask for feedback.

Hero holds AK with approximately 180bb stack on BB. The game has been quite straightforward with no spewy / fishy moves that I could point out at least.

Preflop (9 players): MP1 bets 15. MP2 calls. I raise to 40 from HJ. MP1 folds while MP2 calls.
Flop comes TQ6
MP2 pushes all in for 126 into 94 pot. Giving me roughly 1:2 pot odds.

Given the call-call line MP2 took PF, I put him mostly to pocket pairs like JJ,TT, but he could also have AQ or AK with potentially A removing equity from my runner-runner flush draw, and even more remotely possible a trap played AA or KK, although it would have made more sense for him to push them two aforementioned on PF.

With two hearts I would have instantly called, but somehow I decided to take more conservative line and fold. Now I'm doubting the fold and think that I should have called instead.

Additionally should I have bet larger on preflop in order to extract value from worse hands and make the call OTF a bit easier decision? Would a raise to 50 have been better? I don't think we can get worse hands to call with 55 or 60 bet PF and it doesn't change the numbers much.

How much would you bet PF and would you call OTF? Without any particular read from the player, how would you assess MP2 range? Am I giving him too narrow and nuttish range?

Yes, you should have raised larger ore flop. You’re oop and you are against an open and a call. $60 is better.

As played, you don’t have odds to call. Your losing to a lot of hand and my ranging of the villain bet says you need closer to 2.5:1.

Bad pre flop sizing but good fold.

easy fold. that flop is good looking for you so when he pushes it means he hit it.

Does it change anything if we are in position? I was actually HJ as stated in the raise sentence. After rereading the post I realized it had both BB and HJ as my position. I blame the sleep deprevation.
