I guess he could check a Q. Just seems so bad unless he really is that passive and is scared of AQ or a set.

The line itself isn't autobad, but piling this hard applies so much pressure only to the weaker parts of his range, a range that has already been narrowed both pre (tight player calling from SB) and otf (by way of betting pot, him calling with a player behind) and he just got stronger on this turn.

Btw I don't expect V to bet the river with a Q, nor lead a straight or 2p ott. However, if OP is certain V would always lead his value/Qx then that's just another reason for hero to jam river AP.

V wouldn't lead a queen a lot of the time based on your description. I don't even think that checking a queen is that bad, I would only lead it here because I want to have bluffs in my range where I rep the queen and I can't do that if I wouldn't bet the queen. A bet essentially flips your hand face up though. If you think that your opponent would fire a 3rd barrel on a bluff checking is a good play, whereas betting would take away his opportunity to bluff.

Betting is not terrible but a lot of players don't have the heart to call 2 streets without a minimum of top pair. Sucks if he has nut flush draw but he could also have a worse flush draw, I'd just check and let it go.
