1/3 capped game, 9 handed.
Hero- Young looking guy. Tight aggressive image, has won several smaller pots without showdown. Largest pot I won at the table was middle set, in a straddled pot where I took a bet/bet/bet line and got paid off (by a lower set). Has both villains covered.
V1-Loose passive, playing super wide. Will bet out with any piece, if checked to. I think that he thinks I'm tighter than I am. Has limp/called several of my LP raises and given up on the flop. My plan against this villain is to keep him in the pots a long as possible, and let him do the betting. 20-25bb stack.
V2-Older guy, tight and a shortstacker. I've played with him before, and he seems to always buy in for the min. Seems to have SOME grasp of SS strat, but I have seen him overplay TP. Makes abnormally large opens compared to the table. I'd 3 bet him the previous hand when he opened in the SB. He's to my immediate right. 30-35bb stack.
Now OTTH.
V1 limps MP
V2 limps BTN
Hero has 8
8
in the SB, completes
BB checks his option.
Flop ($12): 8
9
J
This flop I think really smacks V1s range. V2 is also pretty wide (but not strong), since he just limped on the button. This obviously isn't the best board for bottom set, but I do think V1 may put some money into the pot with any piece.
Hero:checks
BB:checks
V1:checks
V2: Bets 15.
Hero calls, BB and V1 fold.
Turn ($42,-5): 2
Hero: checks
V2: bets 45
Hero: ???
Now V2 I think is wide, but didn't have a premium holding since he didn't raise over just 1 limper. I don't think he has JJ or 99 here. There's more 10x combos in his range than Jx, but when he overbet 2 steets I felt like this was more for protection than value. He bombed the turn for a significant portion of his stack (somewhere around 1/3-1/2). He could have bet smaller and had a PSB by the river.
