V(SB) - loose pre, calling and raising with any two suited cards. Have seen him call postflop with just gutters

H(BB) - Clean tight image

2 limps in LP, V(SB) raises $13, H(BB) 3bet $40 w/A8o, V calls

Flop 855r (80)
V checks, H bets 35, V calls

Turn 9 (bd spades) (150)
V checks, H checks

River Jo (150)
V bets 65, H folds??

Is this a fold pre, even with V's wide opening range and stickiness?
Postflop should I be barreling turn and checking back blank rivers? Was hesitant since the only draw (67) got there. On the river I don't think I beat enough really to call it off

Not thrilled w pre bc limpers might too often be in trap mode and it’s just too weak of a hand. If you’re gonna do it 3b more, bet a lot more otf against this player and aim to stack off ott.

I am okay with the 3b as a mixed strat if there were no limpers. Like Amana said, limpers can sometimes surprise you and call or limp reraise.

As played, flop is good.

I like betting turn for $70-80 to check back river.

As played, I call. If your read is right that he'll have wide ranges pre and call post with gutters, he can have a lot of airballs here.

I dont like pre, esp with limpers there.

Otf seems fine.
Turn seeks ok with a weak pair.
Ap i call river he shohld have enough airballs here

As played, I would bet the turn. Squeezing is quite thin if you don't have FE

For those calling river, what hands are you ranging villain on?

He can have whiffed overs like AQ/AK that decide to bluff, random overs like KQ or esp overs + bdfd that brick, or random pairs turned into bluffs. Only needing 23% equity i think river is a clear call given description of how loose he is pre and post

How often do limpers LRR preflop? Usually when they limp, they fold. If we get cold called, we'll shut it down unless A8o somehow hits in a big piece.

35 into 80 is bigger than I'd like. Obviously a moot point here if he'll peel bare overs for 35 like he would 25. But I really want to keep weak hands in when I have this holding.

Agree with minatorr that we should just hold our nose and call. We have to be betting this size on the flop w/ the idea that he will peel us with like A4, KQ, etc and we still beat these hands (as well as like 74, 64, etc that given OP's description, he has). Plus since we probably bet turn w/ a 9 or better, we're actually somehow high in our range. Pay the man his $.
