1/3 AsJs on the button

Hi all,

1/3 game at Aria. Effective stacks are 300.

Absolutely insane gambler in this game who just left a 5/10 table cuz it broke.

Mostly trying to play pots against him- he is not in this hand.

V1: seems a bit tilty just rebought. Playing loose overall and playing a lot of random hands at times. Middle aged guy

v2 playing a bit tighter. Would prob classify him as a TAG. Havenít seen him do anything crazy.

H: playing super tight waiting for a good spot against the one V.

OTTH V1 limps, V2 raises to 15 we think about 3 betting (prob should have?) but elect to flat- V2 has been playing solid overall

V1 calls

Flop is Jd 4h 4s

Checks to me and I bet 20

V1 calls v2 folds

Turn is a 7s he checks I bet 45

He calls

River is Ad he leads 100?

Thoughts overall?

Against a non-crazy raiser I'm mostly just folding preflop unless I'm going to get much more multiway action where we can ~nutmine.

I like our small bet on this dry flop.

I mostly would check behind on the turn. I think we're fairly happy going for 2 streets on this board and betting the turn could lose a lotta 2outers that we're cool getting to the river with. Plus it's possible we're not ahead.

Kinda gross spot on the river as there is really no flop busted draws that he could be showing up with; did he really call the flop with 65s? We'd be much cooler calling off this river had we checked back the turn (both for keeping the final bet smaller plus underrepping our hand / inducing). Now it's kinda a meh spot.

You played this well. Don't forget to fistpump before calling the river.

Can't fold, but c/c c/c lead is usually a 4 here.

This is correct. Not a fan of shoving. Probably calling wishing I found a hero fold.

There is barely more than a min-raise behind and we have top two. Guy could easily be over valuing Jx or even trying to fold Jx off a chop.

Read is he's a bit tilty and playing loose overall and lots of random hands. Not shoving is just MUBsy given the read.

While I understand this reasoning, is this really how most people play Jx when it's possible we're the ones with the 4x?

Wat at shoving, that's lunacy. Even if he does have Jx which, I don't have the vocabulary to express how unlikely that is, if you shove he's folding it. When you get called it's going to be by either AJ or a 4 or better 95% of the time, the other 5% he's going to somehow show up with AK. I'm calling river of course but I would MUCH rather fold than shove.

Pre don't like 3-betting that much vs a TAG iso-raise when we can just flat and take the fish along for the ride.

post seems fine, river is pretty meh but i just call, dont hate a fold but im not folding top two vs tilty fish getting around 2.75 to 1

Bigger each street and 3-betting pre. River fold face up to set this guy off.
