New to the table, literally the second hand. Hero has $300 effective.
Villain opens early mid to $15, hero flats mid pos w AsQd, button flats. -3 way
Flop) Ad10dJh, villain cbets $30. Hero calls, button folds. Turn)4s. Villain checks. Hero fires $60. Villain checkr $200. ??
My reads. Based on player pool alone. Generally all 2 pair plus continues betting on turn for protection. Maybe mid pair+ FD

You beat essentially nothing. Fold. I can get behind a turn check-back trying to avoid the trap, getting to s/d as cheating as possible.

+1 fold as played. Check back turn and let him bluff his KK/QQ or the other hands you beat otr or maybe a scare card comes and you can see a cheap showdown or take it/bluff at it for your same $60 bet.

I figured this was my biggest mistake in then hand. I generally dont like checking back when chked too but I think this spots an acception.

I always have some sort of reads on my opponents even if it is the first hand, but without reads this is a mandatory bet on the turn and a super easy fold when villain raises.

If the opponent is a tight player or even not so tight it's fold. You are not pot committed and you have no implied odds (no more left if you find the miracle King at the river).
So fold and just reload.

I 3bet AQ pre, but I understand the flat. Turn bet is fine. As played, fold.

Unless we have reads to suggest otherwise, my default is to muck AQo to an EP raise in MP without so much as a second thought. We have poor IO / poor RIO against a normalish EP raising range plus will end up OOP and sandwiched between the raiser and those behind us.

This is pretty much the nut low flop for AQo vs an EP raising range (AA/AK/AJ/AT/JJ/TT/KQ/JT are all head), especially non-HU (where it is less likely KK/QQ are cbetting). Plus we still have the guy to react behind us. I fold again.

I check back the turn. Against a normalish EP range we're ahead of very little and the little we are ahead of we are massively ahead of and would be fine squeeking out one more bet from them and not scaring them away on the turn. Trivial fold to the check/raise.
