V ($300+)= OMC. Have seen him limp/call QQ and hasn’t 3bet once in a few hours of play. Plays fit or fold on flops. Has been complaining about my aggressive style.
H ($700+)= LAG image. Been three betting and raising limps preflop often, which is out of line for this limp/call table.

Preflop:
2 limpers
H (HJ) w AdQc = $15
V (Button) = Raise to $50
Blinds and limps fold.
H= Call

I would generally put Vs 3bet range as very tight, but I felt he might be making a play with a larger range here to “teach me a lesson”.
I probably wouldn’t be wrong to overfold against a 3 bet on this table. Anyone like a shove here?

Flop:
Pot= $100ish
8d 6d 2d
H= Check
V= $50
H= All in

V= Calls with TT (black) and wins the run out.

Thoughts?
I feel fine with the CR, but open to other lines.

Don't post results.

I fold to the 3bet pre vs. this player. Hate the flop -- he's never betting $50 and then folding.

Passive OMC isn't raising to teach you a lesson or getting out-of-line. He's simply patiently waiting for a huge hand to reraise your aggro ass. And for some reason it's worked. High RIO, low IO, OOP, versus a crushing range, yuck. Trivial preflop fold for me.

I'm fine with the flop. Overs + nutflushdraw so equity-wise we're mostly doing ok and have some FE (a bunch against whiffed AK and some against small overpairs).

Oops, with the Ad, the shove is fine on the flop, but I don't think you have any FE, and we could still have only nine to 12 outs, but we happen to have 15.

Can't believe i'm saying this, but i fully agree with Gobbledygeek. OMC's typically don't adjust to your agressiveness, they just stay patient. I'd be surprised if TT isn't the bottom of his 3bet range.

If you really think he's playing back at you, you should be 4bet jamming this hand, not flatting OOP with an offsuit hand that has decent RIO.

Flop is standard/unavoidable.

+1

I'm over the road so I don't have access to my books. Except for V having TT instead of AA, this is the exact scenario spelled out in TOP or NLHET&P.

In one of my old post fishing expeditions, I came across a post (AcePlayerDeluxe I think). It's about being pissed off at making poor decisions when he knows better. I marvel at my own lack of discipline sometimes (usually as soon as the chips leave my hand).

Here we have a profile of V. And we just go right on and put our foot in it.
