I lose by far the most money each month squeezing from the blinds with hands like and AK and AQ and playing bloated pots from OOP. They always seem very difficult hands to navigate, and very expensive. Im considering increasing my PF sizing to 5x +1x per limper and hopefully villains will call less.. Sometimes I just wanna flat these in the blinds!

That said, I will definitely be firing small at a dry flop like this in the future hopefully getting mid pairs to fold.
TT was the one hand crushing you I could see him having, but that hand is going to fire a bunch of times when you check flop, especially with two clubs.

I think your bigger mistake was checking flop. You did kind of flip your hand face up.

I know this is a little late to the party since the thread has been spoiled but we should check this turn if we checked the flop. In fact, we should basically check all turns that hit our hand. I know if i'm checking the flop i definitely check the turn also, if i bet the flop and he calls, I check the turned ace.

The king could be a bet. It depends but the ace is standard check

This is really key here. You have to understand that we are asking for 3 streets of value with a one pair hand. I consider the 3bet the first street, that is, we have imbedded the pot with one street. Now we are looking for the second and possibly the third on this runout.

there is more than one reason to 3bet preflop with AK. obv one of the reasons is because we are ahead of calling ranges, but a more important reason is reverse implied odds. if we flop an ace we have trouble getting paid from worse and our hand doesn't improve as often as theirs, so the 3bet is actually to imbed the pot with value we won't get post and to build the pot to price out draws when they come

Checking the turn is the way to go for a lot of reasons. For one thing we no longer get value off worse. We basically only make money off their bluff range. Betting this particular turn turns our hand into a bluff.

So pretty much checking this turn 100% to set up value on the river. So i'm never in this spot because i think the turn is a 100% check spot.

So you may think we are peeling value off flush draws but flush draws can basically be ignored in 3 bet pots If you make a flush or a set in a 3bet pot you are going to get paid off by me

If betting you have to call i think. For fat value. but we probably should never bet this particular turn
