This is a tilting hand that just costed me my stack at 1/3 today. Still steaming right now, definitely think I could've played it better but I just need to get it out somewhere....

Relatively new to the table. Prior to this hand V called my iso raise with A6o once, wasn't a big pot but it affected my thought process here.

AKo - Stack 540

Table with 3-4 happy raisers behind whose eff stack are all 200bb+

Me: Limp AK UTG
Fish limps behind
Big stack (~1k) raises to 18
Fold around to fish in sb who flats
I reraises to 82
Big stack flats, SB folds

Flop (180)

AdQdXc

Check check

Turn (180)

9c

I bet 125
V shoves, I have 320 behind

I swear this happens every time I do the limp/3b thing. Anyway I will post results later, just tell me what you think...

Stuff like this is either a bluff or two pair, I would probably check the turn to see what villian is up too because that shove is probably trying to to steal or either had two pair

Why did you check flop? Do we have the Kd?

No I dont. However with both the Ad and the Qd out I like to check my whole range it. It's unlikely the he flat my 3b with random trash which means I don't have to worry about charging draws or getting value urgently.

I also considered checking turn but that'd seems too weak/high variance. The limp/3b line really doesn't do too well in these deep stack situations...

I probably just raise pre instead of lrr.

Flop is good IMO. AP I call without reads given SPR but not happy about it.

That turn bet is pretty big don't you think?

Yeah I wanted to puke when he shoved but can't lay it down with so much money already in.

I realised that now, probably should've gone something like 85-95. He did flat my iso raise earlier with A6o and called my cbet so that kind of influenced the decision.

P/s: I called, rivered As. V showed AQo.

Don't limp raise at a new table for no apparent reason. Raise the first time around and bet the flop. This hand was unnecessary FPS.

I agree FPS. By limp raise pre so large you never give yourself the chance to outplay your opponent by folding TPTK when he announces he had a stronger hand. With your line the pot is so large by the time he announces it you ant get away. If you lead 18 pre, he calls. You lead flop with TPTK and he either raises there giving you a chance to get away or he bombs the turn giving you another chance without being in the situation of "can't lay it down with so much money already in".
