V is a huge drooler and dumped $200 in his first hand at the table to the OMC when OMC open-limped 99 OTB (lol) and V made it $15 in BB with K4o.. Flop came 664ss where V cbet $15, got raised to $45 by OMC and called.. turn was 9s and V led out $100 just to get shoved upon for $25 more by OMC and get shown the turned boat...

When such a V is at the table, I believe we should expand our range a little bit since they're likely to pay us off if we hit any piece of the flop and waiting for bigger hands might be a bad idea since they're going to lose their stack pretty soon..

Hero limps AJs UTG+1 for $3
3 other limpers including V on BTN

Flop ($20): Ad Jh 7d
Hero donks $20, OMC next to me calls, others fold

Turn ($60): Js
Hero bets $30, OMC hesitantly calls

River ($120): 5c
Hero ??

Also.. this hand makes me realize it might not be that bad of an idea to play AJs in EP..

Infact, had Hero raised to $12 pre.. and got 5 callers.. we could have scooped a big pot...

DOES ANYONE PLAY AJ soooted in EP if there's a drooler at the table???

AJs is the lower limit of what I'll play in EP. If I play it, I'll typically raise. Weaker opponents make me more likely to play it. I don’t want to play this only for make-a-hand potential so I don't like limping.

Deciding to play a particular type of hand based on one flop is not the path to wisdom.

Without stack sizes, further comment is unlikely to be useful.

AJs is a good hand to limp UTG.

I'd bet $60 on the river.

So what scenarios besides weaker opponents are you raising AJs in EP in?

As played, $60 on the river is a great bet. It's consistent with your turn 1/2 pot bet, and OMC may pay off with AQ, AT, AK. If you are worried about folding him out, you could even bet $40 or $50 instead of $60. Obviously checking is a mortal sin.

You really should OPEN AJs from any position except under extreme special circumstances (for example, a drunk guy goes all in blind every hand, etc). Open mucking is beyond silly IMO, regardless of stakes, but even more so in low limit.

Bad example.

My default is to limp AJs (as well as other weak suited broadways) in EP at passive drooler infested tables.

Turn/River sizing really depends on stack sizes, and I don't see any mention of them. On the turn, I'm really looking to play for stacks, so I would make sure a bet here gives me a good chance at playing for them on the river. By the river, hopefully a shove gets us to play for stacks, so I would do that. I wouldn't check to induce a bluff by busted draws because it's unlikely OMC is going to bluff.
