Hi,
V seemed to be quite solid/TAG. He raised to ~$20 like 3-4 times and took it down pf.
History hand with him: Limped family pot (7-ways): I'm in the SB, completing with
2
2.
Flop came
A
2
3 and was planning a c/r but it checked around.
Turn
4, I call V's 2/3 pot bet with the intention to lead rivers when I boat up and possibly c/c when I don't.
River is a
J and I call his 60ish bet then making a mistake and showing down my hand before him so he says I'm good and mucks.
I welcome any thoughts on this hand as well but I kinda feel what would've been the correct play (overbet lead flop, c/c turn, lead river with a boat or c/eval without) and decided not to open a separate thread.
Current hand:
There's a $5 UTG straddle and we are UTG+1 with
A
A and make it $20. Everybody folds besides V who calls in the SB. Effective stacks are around $450.
FLOP (~$49)
T
6
5
V checks, I bet $35, V tank-calls
TURN (~$120)
J
What would your plan be here and OTR? I was thinking that I couldn't extract 3 streets of value from a TAG and was considering a check given that we are not really afraid of any river.
If we don't hit the nut flush on the river, are we calling a near pot-sized bet?
