They say don't go broke in a limped pot, but for 100bb I do it here, even against OMC.

newt, what range do you have for OMC when he reraises my $100 flop 3B knowing that there is MP (old, good player) still remaining behind ?

Two pair, big draw, possibly a set, but if it is, it's a cooler. Heck, I've seen OMC's limp in w/ AA and KK and play that way. If they'll limp SB w/ TT, they'll do it w/ AA/KK, too.

Remember, you limped BTN, so it's hard to put you on a set, too.

on a wet board, coordinated board on the flop.....

I guess your definition of OMC is different than mine. Assuming the OMC 4B is a push for 100BB,,, it is almost never AA type hands in my mind...unless I've been super-aggro in prior hands. To push on the flop, OMC is Nutted, or near-Nutted. I think an overpair is optimistic. Limping in for us....not really a history though...so we have really no idea of Hero image, and it makes a difference here if OMC pushes over.

I agree that OMC will limp very strong hands PF. But after he overbet donks and we 3B with a caller behind...OMC looks stronger than strong...to me...with a push.

Your last post I think is flawed. If we haven't aggrotarded up the past hour, we are limping all pocket pairs under TT...maybe 99. When we jump the flop bet...it can be screaming set easily. Too wet to allow anyone to draw out cheaply.

I would raise for value as well as making the hand easier to play.

Adressing your uncomfort: You can still fold later inc ase it gets trickier.

OMC can show upe her with a lot of worse hands, like AT, KT, T7, and so on. It is limped.

Who knows if OP has been limping pps? OP's description is not given, so I figure average player whom most OMCs think is trying to bully them. Who knows? Most players raise pocket pairs from BTN -- maybe not 66 always, but usually 77+ -- although it's a fine line. I'm not folding a set here. I was playing Sunday morning with a few OMCs and was very surprised at what they showed up with. I've played with a few who are fine with gii here with AA/KK considering it a cooler when they lose If OP can give more details about their relationship that proves me wrong, great. If not, I'm not folding.
