Below i will describe 3 specific hands that happened in a course of one session vs a very big fish.

The game in question is equivalent to 1/3 USD (10/20HKD blinds). Will use HKD so i dont mess the amounts up. The table is pretty loose in general with a mix of bad regs, randoms, big fishes and 2 TAG's, including hero.

All the hands described below will involve hero and a asian mega fish(Villain) who's sitting 2 seats on my right. He has played around 85% of his hands, either limped or raised to 6x around 65% of the time regardless of limpers and etc. Hero is a winning TAG reg in the game for years.

1st hand is somewhat irrelevant but will describe it anyways.

Hero EP 1100 raises with AK to 80, 5 players call including Villain in BB. V covers by a lot.

Flop: K 9 4. Pot: 410. V leads for 200, Hero shoves for 1020, V calls.

Turn, River random cards. Villain shows K3, Hero wins.


2nd hand is the very next hand.


Hero UTG 2570, raises AK to 80. Loose BTN calls, V SB 3 bets to 200, and says "I want my money back".

Hero shoves for 2490? Opinions?


3rd hand

Hero 5400, V 4800, BTN 1800

Straddle on the BTN from loose french guy who was the BTN in previous hand. SB folds, V in BB flats 40. Hero with AK raises to 140. 3 people call including button, V reraises from SB to 500. Hero flats 500, others fold, BTN flats 500.

Flop: K3T Pot- 1790

V bets 800, Hero flats ?? Opinion needed BTN folds.

Turn: 4 Pot: 3390

V bets 1800, Hero shoves?? Opinions?


There was another hand where hero called V's big bluff on the river and V mucked, no showdown. So he wants to play pots against me specifically.

Any advice on sizing and etc is very much encouraged. Will post results later. Thank you in advance!!!

Hands 1 and 3 seem fine vs this guy.

Hand 2 I probably flat preflop instead of jamming. You're probably way a head.

Some days you are hot, and some days you are not. One thing I like to remind myself of is even mega fish get good hands, and what goes up, can quickly and easily go down.

Well, the 2nd hand he though for about 5 seconds then called with 3s, and i bricked.

3rd hand, he turned out to have 34

all look fine. hand 2 isn't standard but given you just stacked him he may feel you are just pushing him around and could easily call off with worse. Taking down the pot now isn't horrible either. OC flatting is fine too as you can massively out decide this guy post flop
