1/3 2p facing alllin ott

Hero (500)
Villain at the table for 30 minutes (600)
I played following hand with him before:
Hero raises 10 with 77 in mp, villain in lp and bb call.
Flop (31) 883
bb checks, hero bets 14, villain raises to 40, bb folds, we call.
Turn (111) 8834
We check, villain snap bets 80, we call.
River (271) 88349
We check, villain snap bets 240, we fold, he shows 33.

OTTH: Villain (~700) limps, hero (~450) raises 13 with K9 in lp, sb, bb and villain call.

Flop (52) K97
sb donks allin for 30, bb folds, villain calls, hero raises to 140 planning on jamming ott if vilain calls. Villain smooth calls.
Turn (362) K97J
Villain insta jams, hero?

Re: 1/3 2p facing alllin ott

I'm guessing we didn't expect to go 4ways with our preflop raise, but the earlier in LP we are the more likely this is going to happen (at least at most loose tables I play at). If we expected to get this HU or even take it down preflop the majority of the time, fine. Otherwise, so long as there is no one difficult behind us, I think overlimping is fine.

Flop really depends on whether I consider myself committed for stacks UI. Two pair is a really dicey spot, because it's not exactly a monster, especially against anyone willing to get in biggish stacks in a non-small SPR spot of 10, especially since it is unlikely he has a worse two pair that could think they are good. If I don't consider myself committed UI, I might play the flop more passively and call and see what happens; but if you consider yourself committed, raising is fine. This is also part of the problem with raising preflop and going multiway; we face commitment decisions with hands we'd probably rather not commit with early on, whereas in a limped pot we could still have options (even if we raise we're still not approaching commitment and can play some postflop poker on later streets).

As played, I fold the turn. The previous HH shows this guy as pretty straightforward, a bunch of stuff got there on the turn (OESD, top two pair, gutshots that perhaps had a flush draw, etc.), and we've shown pretty big strength and yet he doesn't care.

I’ll say this, i’d Expect V to be nutted here and never bluffing. Does V thing AK or a big combo draw is the nuts? Maybe. Most like V flopped a set of 7’s and its time for H to exercise his hero fold option. Sucks but it happens. Would call with set or higher (obviously). KJ would be a tougher decision.

I would fold. Shorty likely has hearts or Kx, which makes it less likely that you will boat.

Nice thing about your V is that he gives off timing tells when he is nutted. Makes it an easier fold.

If he is getting fancy with Tx for a double gutter heart draw, that would be a nice move. But I don't see this type of V doing that.

IT is kind of odd that he just shoved instead of going for more value. Either he is scared of the heart draw or he has the heart draw. Almost impossible to tell which one.

Calling

Stop and go is generally some draw combo that they aren't willing to fold. But now decide they want some fold equity.
